What if we could know – in this very moment – in some deep but very present place within us that we are also – at this moment – very deep and present in the heart of God? What would that feel like, look like, smell like, taste like …. be like? What if it were just this same moment unmasked … so that the radiance of your deep, present Self was gleaming back at you from everything … as if everything was lit from the inside revealing the marvelous secret … like holy lava lamps glowing with mercy …

As I was walking out of the meditation hall, feeling very quiet and quite wonderful, the thought “open body, natural practice” floated through my mind. Yet again, after almost four decades of meditating, I was seeing again for the first time how simple and natural is this practice (meditation, life) that I can make so complicated.

After picking up my five year old grandson, Zay, from school, we go home and rouse Grampa Mike from his office for a game of hide & seek.
I see you surrounded by Light, held by it, soothed by it, grounded in it … and this Light has a sound, a soft humming sound, a tone so deep and healing that spreads throughout your body until your whole body is humming and relaxing into the sound. Letting go of everything else, mental and physical knots loosen and dissolve … and emotions flow freely, releasing ….
